Team Play Day Make & Takes July 2013

Today I am sharing with you the Make & Takes from my crafty friends at our Play Day on Sunday last week.
Our play day consists of lots of coffee, biscuits, cake (or fruit for us slimmers)  chat and crafting.  I absolutely love getting together with my fellow demos to share, share, share.  Thank you ladies once again for a fab day.

Right,  on to the cards..........

Lesley's absolutely gorgeous monochrome card - right up my street.  I love the style of this card and they way everything just goes together.
Liz's fabulous card using the Flower shop stamp & punch kit which I shall definitely be purchasing.  Green not my normal colour choice but really liked this card.

Finally, Sarn's make and take.  As I have said before, she does like a bit of paper folding!  Lovely, colours, lovely stamps and just a really lovely idea.

So there you have it, our play day complete.

Enjoy your week.
Take care

Team Swaps on Play Day July 2013

Time for me to share my crafty friends' swaps made for our play day last Sunday.

Lesley's swap which we had a helping hand in putting together. Lesley showed us the paper folding to create the chevron.  Brilliant idea.  Lovely simple but very effective card.

Liz's gorgeous creation, the leaf was smothered in glitter - fab  - the acorn was glossy giving it real dimension.  Lovely autumn card.  Lovely colours

Sarns lovely ticket holder.  I've concluded that she likes a bit of paper folding.  Sarn always uses lovely colours and creates very clean and simple cards.  Pic below was inside the holder with a couple of tags beautifully decorated.

Can't wait for the next play day to see what wonderful swaps are created.  However, I am going to have to wait until the END of September now as I will be on my holidays when the next play day is held.

Swap for Team Play Day

Good morning to you all
What a lovely sunny summery day again today.
Grandchildren all gone out for the day so am able to get on to my computer without it being pinched for a CBeeBies's game!

Today I want to share with you my swap that I had great pleasure in making for my teamies for Play Day last Sunday.

I made a box using Whisper White card and scored on my Stampin'Up score board.

I measured out a piece of  Organza Ribbon (Whisper White)  and stamped the word "Create" from the Loving Thoughts stamp with Indigo Island ink and in between the word, a flourish stamped with Strawberry Slush ink.

I then used the Label Love Stamp & punch set for the sentiment, also in Indigo Blue ink.

The flower was a bit of a challenge for me, as it was the first time that I had attempted to make one. Using a large piece of tissue paper, I folded it equally several times and then, using my Big Shot and my Blossom Party Originals Die, I cut several flowers.  Then using Strawberry Slush and a sponge,  I inked the edges.  The flower was then held together using a brad.

Now the box had been done I set about putting together my wall hanger which was going to be my actual swap!
I cut out three squares, each slightly smaller than the last and decorated using the gorgeous Gingham Garden papers, the single word sentiments from the Loving Thoughts stamp set and the other sentiment from the Blooming With Kindness stamp set.  The flower was made using Blossom Party Originals Die, butterflies using the Beautiful Wings Embosslits, pearls and a Rhinestone.

I get so much pleasure from making little gifts for my crafty friends, I can't wait for the next play day!

Thanks for stopping by.

Take care

Make & Take for Team Play Day

Good morning
Hope you are all well and that you have been enjoying the sunshine.  I'm glad that the humidity has now dropped because that really slows me down!  Still, let's hope the sun stays out for all the children who have broken up for their long summer holiday.

Right, I wanted to share with you the Make & Take that I prepared for our team play day last Sunday.
What a fabulous time we had, I really enjoy these days with my crafting friends.

Once again I chose to do a simple card using only a few colours.
I am absolutely loving the new "In Colours"  and refresh colours.

The base card is Whisper White.  I have mat and layered Coastal Cabana, then Whisper White.
I have used the Adorning Accents Edgelit to cut the white mat and then a piece of Baked Brown Sugar card to create the fancy edge (also cut using Adorning Accents Edgelit   .

The sentiment was from "Lots of Thanks" from the new Annual Catalogue  -  just love this set because you always need a "Thank You" card and it's nice to have a variety of fonts and sentiments.

I embellished using the new Label Love& stamp set and the Artisan Punch & Baked Brown Sugar ink pad.
Butterfly was cut from the Beautiful Wings Embosslits using Coastal Cabana cardstock and finished off with a rhinestone
Label Love up close and embellished with the new Vintage Designer Button and bakers twine to finish it off

Finally I added the pearls.  Voila!  Finished!

Hope you like what you have seen and I thank you for stopping by.

See you again soon with more make and takes and swaps from our fun play day.

Take care

Team Training at Crawley June 2013

Went back to work today after a couple of days leave to spend time with my grandchildren, boy the day there felt as if it would never end!

I wanted to share with you today three of the cards that were made at our team training day in Crawley in June.
The cards were all made using the lovely new colours that are now available.
The first card and ink colours used were:-
Baked Brown Sugar for the base card, next layer Strawberry Slush,  and Coastal Cabana, Crisp Canteloupe and Pistachio Pudding inks were used with the Mosaic punch and stamps.

The second card base was Crisp Canteloupe cardstock, next layer is Baked Brown Sugar.  The flag was made using the Quartrefancy Designer Series Paper.  The frame was stamped using Baked Brown Sugar ink. The sentiment was from the Loving Thoughts stamp set and we used the Coastal Cabana ink.  The circle layer was using the Pistachio Pudding cardstock
The last card base was Strawberry Slush with acetate window.  The  Mosaic punch and stamp set using Pool Party and Crushed Curry ink pads. Baked Brown Sugar was used to stamp the sentiment from the Tiny Tags set.   To border the acetate I used the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border also using Baked Brown Sugar cardstock.

The colours, stamps and punches are just some of the new products available now in our new Catalogue.

Thanks for stopping by and hopefully you will be back again soon.

Take care
