Today I thought I would share the swap that I made for my fellow play mates.

Once again I found it strange prepping these when the sun was blazing outside!

I think my teamies now realise that I love to make little gifts as the swap rather than just a card.  A gift , I feel,  is more personal.

Firstly I had to be brave and have a go at decorating the candle!  I was terrified of doing this but I really shouldn’t have worried so much because in fact it was very easy.

I chose the Festive Flurry stamp set to decororate my candle and the little gift bags.

With Coastal Cabana ink I stamped the image on to tissue paper, then cut them out using the Festive Flurry framelit dies.  The next step would be placing the tissue image, printed side up, on to the candle gently smoothing it out.  I then used a piece of wax paper and held it around the candle with the two edges slightly overlapping so that I could hold each edge and be able to hold the candle still whilst I was heating with the heat tool.  It only takes a few seconds after you have heated your image and as if by magic the tissue is set into the candle.

Of course it was then time to bling it up!  You know me, bling mad!

As you can see I then set about decorating these cute little bags which I had
purchased quite a while ago and which were the perfect size for my
decorated candle.

I used the same stamp set and ink pad to stamp out the Festive Flurry image.  I used the gorgeous Silver Glimmer paper as the background image and the Frosted Finishes embellishments to complete the decoration.

The sentiment was from the Chalk Talk stamp set and I used the Extra Large Oval punch to cut it out. Then used the silver ribbon to attach the sentiment.

I must say, I was really pleased with the end result as I hope my teamies were!

Thanks for stopping by

Take care
