Rudolph Challenge November

Good evening all,
Just a quick stop by with my card for the Rudolph Challenge which is held over at Scrappy Mo's
Why not join in or pop over and see all the great cards that are made for the challenge each month.

I will admit to you that this card was not designed by me but by a very talented lady whose classes I attend each month, Christine Dyer.    I unashamedly CASE'd it, with her permission of course!
Hope you all have a lovely day.

Take care

Sneak Peek!

Last week I was lucky enough to attend Stampin Up's first "On Stage" event in Brussels where demos from all over the world gathered to celebrate & acknowledge all the talented demos who have achieved so much over the past year.  We also got to see and touch new products that are going to be released in January in our new Spring/Summer catalogue.        This card has been made using the brand new  Bloomin' Love stamp and die set bundle!
Bet you knew I would have to make a shadow box card to show case it didn't you?!

I can't wait to share all the other bits and pieces that go with this gorgeous set,  which become available at beginning of January with the launch of our new Spring/Summer catalogue.

I think this set is going to be very popular as it is going to be very versatile.

Hope you liked my quick sneak peek.

Have a good evening all

Take care

Brussels WOW swaps

Hi there, boy isn't it windy out there!  Spent a while trying to keep upright on my trip to the dentist this morning!  Not my favourite place to have to visit and the only "good" thing about it was that I was able to be away from my work desk for a couple of hours!
Today I would like to share with you my WOW swap for nine other members of Stampin Stars.

Really time consuming to make but loved every minute of it.  I hope that the recipients did think it was a WOW swap!

Brussels Swaps -

Good morning, as promised I am today sharing the swaps that I made to take to the Stampin'Up! On Stage Live event in Brussels this past weekend.   What a fantastic event this was and what a beautiful place to visit, Brussels.  The architecture was stunning.
We had very little time to explore this wonderful place but what we saw was truly beautiful.
Another thing that was also gorgeous was the Chocolate!!  I have never in my life seen so much chocolate in one place!  Of course, I had to sample some and can say with certainty that Belgian chocolate is the best by far!!
Anyway, back on track!

Not sure why I always choose to do swaps that take so long to prepare!
This first picture shows the flowers that I had made which were then attached  to a couple of sticks of the gorgeous smelling cinnamon.  In the corner of the picture you can see the tags that I gold embossed and attached to some gold glimmer card.
The tag was then attached to the other end of the cinnamon sticks using the gold twine.

This was the final result!   After assembling the cinnamon sticks & tags I then cut out a little sweet treat bag and attached it to it. These very versatile bags can be used for lots of things, sweets, a greeting card, a gift card etc etc.

Here a couple of pics to show the different paper I used for the bags

I hope that the ladies I swapped with were happy with their swaps and to know that it was a real pleasure making them to share with them.

Thank you for stopping by today and don't forget to stop by to see the WOW swaps that I also made.

Have a great day
Take care

Trip to Brussels - Stampin'Up! convention

Hi
Just wanted to let you know that I am still here!
I have been quiet over the last week or so due to the fact that I have been getting some swaps and pressies ready to take to the Stampin'Up On Stage convention in Brussels.  We had a fantastic time sharing with fellow demonstrators from all over the world.
Hundreds of very talented people all gathered together.  Very inspiring.

Please stop by over the next couple of days to check out what I had made for my swaps x

Have a good day.

Swaps

Hi
Today I am sharing some swaps that I recently made. They are very similiar to ones that I have made previously and are made using the new square pillow box thinlet.  I have just turned down one of the tops to create the pocket, instead of folding under to form a complete box.  I put a little gift inside for the ladies which I hope they liked.

As always you will find some glitter somewhere on my projects!  This time I have punched a flower out of the velum and glittered the centre and the tip of the flower

Get well wishes

Good morning,
Hope you all had a lovely weekend.  To  be honest, I didn't even notice the weather, all I did know was that it wasn't raining!
I spent a fabulous day on Saturday  visiting my daughter and my awesome grandchildren.  As usual we all cried when we had to come home. Next visit will be Christmas - it will soon be here!!
Yesterday I spent the day with other lovely crafting ladies which is my favourite thing to do!!

Anyway, I thought I would share this very quick Get Well Wishes card to a very old friend of mine who has recently undergone surgery.  It is just to let her know I am thinking about her x
I hope you all have a great week  and thank you so much for stopping by.

Take care

Inky playday makes

Good morning,
Our good friend Sarn wanted us to have a play with canvas and ink, so here are my efforts.
At first I was really very apprehensive about putting the ink down on the canvas but once I started I just went for it!
I wasn't very pleased with my first attempt because it needs something else doing to it but I just cannot see what?  Any suggestions?

You can just about make out the leavy stencil on it. I think that if I had maybe used darker ink this may have "finished it off"?
I was a lot happier with this inky sample.

Not sure that this is really "my thing", I don't seem to have the "knack" or "imagination" to create something I would be totally happy with?  I am no good at random stuff !!

Any comments or suggestions would be truly appreciated!!

Have a good day and thank you for stopping by

Empty handed - nooooo

Good morning
I met up with my playmates last weekend and had a great time getting inky!
It was decided that this playday was going to be exactly that, a playday, so no swaps or M&T's were needed.  However, I cannot go anywhere empty handed so made these little sweet treat bags with a little bar of choc inside.  Just cannot go empty handed, is that a flaw ?
Hope you all have a lovely day xx

Celebrate

Morning all, another shadow box to share with you today.  Absolutely love love love the Subtles DSP.  Pool party is one of my favourite colours.  It looks very bright in this picture as I had to turn the lighting up so that you could see the flowers and leaves stamped onto acetate. The wooden sentiment goes just perfectly in the box.  Very pleased with how this one turned out.
Thank you for stopping by today.

Play day make

Good morning, what a lovely day out there.  It' lovely to see the sunshine again, it seems to make people more cheery, don't you think?
Anyway, a couple of weekends ago I went to our monthly play day and Lesley of Lesleyscraftroom gave us a set of materials to make a couple of small cards.
Lesley's examples were lovely, unfortunately I didn't get a picture of one of them, sorry Lesley!
Here is Lesley's make which was using the materials supplied.  I just love the way Lesley has placed the little flowers, a great 3d effect card.   I also L O V E the way she always puts the little cut in the side of the card to hold her ribbon or thread.  What a great idea eh?

These were my two makes from the materials.  I absolutely love the Tip Top Taupe colour, especially the striped paper.  You can't see on the picture but I can assure you there is lots of glitter in the tree!

I have once again chosen one of my favourite colours, blue.  I can also assure you that there is plenty of glitter on this card too!

Rudolph Day September

Good morning
Well I am so pleased with myself that I have managed to get my card ready for the Rudolph Day challenge over at Scrappy Mo's on time!
I have made a shadow box to look like a window (oringal shadow box inspiration was from Amanda from The Craft Spa ). I have embossed the snow in the background, stamped & embossed the Lovely as a Tree set of trees on acetate and placed it behind the window frame which I have made using the Stampin'Up  new Hearth & Home framelit die set.

Gold & Black - lush

Good morning, today I wanted to share with you this little box.  I have not got around to making all of the cards that will go inside of it, so will be posting those another day.
The lush paper I have used for covering the box is from the new Autumn/Winter "Handmade for the Season" catalogue, it's called Winter Wonderland Speciality DSP.  It is no ordinary paper, it almost feels like a superior thick wrapping paper.  It feels really smooth to touch.    The flowers are made by stamping & embossing with gold embossing powder onto acetate. Love the sentiment thinlets.
You could put other little gifts inside of this box including chocolates, oh yeah!

Anyway, thank you for stopping by today.

Take care

Just for You

Good morning, well what a noisy night out there last night.  The sound of the thunder woke me with a start I can tell you!!  It is still "a rather blustery day" (as Pooh Bear would say to Piglet) but hopefully the rain will go before I leave for work.

Today I am sharing a notelet sized card that I made to pop into a new catalogue to send to a new customer.

The stamp set is the lovely Awesomely Artistic which I have stamped on acetate using gold embossing powder and colouring the flowers with the white pen and leaves with Mossy Meadow ink. I then had to cut it out, which does take some patience!

Black & white - Thank you cards

Good morning all, in the new catalogue I spotted some lovely black doilies together with the black glimmer sheets.  I just knew I wanted them but had no idea what I was going to do with them.  So today I am sharing a little box of "Thank You" cards that I made over the weekend using them.

Playday swaps from me

Good morning,
Yay, the sun is shining.  Don't you think that it makes the world seem a happier place when that sun shines?
I had a lovely weekend, albeit full on!   Did lots of crafting, met up with old friends and new ones too.  Absolutely exhausted but happy!
Back to work today.
Today I am sharing with you the swaps that I gave to my crafting friends at playday yesterday.
Little pouches made using the Square Pillow Box thinlets
Spent a while scouring the shops to find something that would fit inside as a gift  Found the perfect fit in these little car freshners from Wax Lyrical.
You could put cash or gift cards in these too.

Enjoy your week and happy crafting!

Thank you for stopping by today

English Garden meets pillow box die

Good morning, today I wanted to share with you the new square pillow box die.  I just love it and have made loads already!  I saw this design on Pinterest but unfortunately couldn't find again!
This is my take on it.
I love the paper I have used called English Garden.  SU DSP is so versatile being that it is double sided and obviously matching.
As you can see I have folded down one of the top edges to form a pouch instead of a box.
This photo shows the pillow box made up.

I have also used other products from the fabulous new Autumn/Winter catalogue.   The curvy corner trio punch was used on the tag, the pouch and the box have the new silver and gold cording trim and I have added one of the lovely new sparkly Iced rhinestones too.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Take care

Flower circle

Good afternoon, well what a complete washout the weather is this week eh?  Can't believe we are still in the summer months.  I suppose we need the rain for our reservoirs and for our gardens, but why can't it just rain at night when I'm in my bed and not during the day when I am trying to go about my business!
Anyway, todays card is using what is left from the Cottage Greetings card kit happy post, I received from a SU friend.
Will be adding this kit to my wish list for sure.
This photo taken in natural daylight

Have you noticed the beautiful gem in the centre of the flower  - its a sneak peak from the Autumn/Winter catalogue coming shortly!
